Regular meetings of the Board of Directors shall be held on the third Friday of every month. Meeting dates and locations may be changed at the option of the leadership.
Meetings are currently held at the First Congregational Church, Barwick Room, 766 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines at 7:30 pm.
To further the advancement of all breeds of purebred dogs.
To conduct obedience, rally and tracking trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
To devote all profits accruing to the Club to the above purposes or to make specific bequests to such charitable or civic organizations as shall be approved by a majority vote of those in attendance and voting at a Club meeting; and, under no circumstances, to pay a salary, fee, commission or dividend to any member.
We honor our members accomplishments annually at our Awards Banquet. At our banquet our members receive awards or titles earned the previous year. Our new officers and the members of the Board of Directors are also installed. In addition, we hold a Special Awards ceremony to recognize those members who display good sportsmanship, loyalty to the club, high scoring dogs, team of distinction, the individual who has provided the most assistance to the board, and member of the year. Below is a list of past honorees.
Award winners are selected for this honor by the general membership for performing outstanding service to the club in the award year. Honoree exhibits exceptional devotion to the club’s values and promotes HDTEF’s vision and beliefs.
Awarded to the member with the highest scoring in the Novice A or B class at the HDTEF annual trials.
Awarded to the member with the highest scoring in the Open A or B class at the HDTEF annual trials.
Awarded to the member with the highest scoring in the Utility A or B class at the HDTEF annual trials.
